The day of Club Rush is really exciting for every student at Cal High, especially for all the freshman students. As a 9th grader, I can say that I was extremely eager for the day to come. At California high school we are always recognized for having a tremendous variety of clubs and academies at our school we believe there’s a club for everyone! The purpose of Club Rush is finding out about new clubs, we love seeing everyone getting involved doing what they love.
If you don’t seem to find interest in doing one of our extraordinary clubs here at Cal High you are welcome to form your own club. One of my favorite parts about Club Rush was watching the dance team perform and we can’t forget about all of the delicious food! While finding out about some of our marvelous clubs and academies you also get to try the mouthwatering food, the Puente program had cold Starbucks drinks topped with whipped cream. This program is directed by Mrs. Davies and Mr. Hernandez.
There were plenty of amazing clubs selling food that day like the Model United Nations club which is such a terrific club to join if you enjoy debate, students can learn about diplomacy, international relations, and the United Nations and it is also a great way to get better at your public speaking skills they made some tasty pupusas.
The newspaper club was also out there selling refreshing watermelon, which was perfect because the temperature was quite high. If you have a Kate Vizcarra 2018 passion for writing then I highly encourage joining this club.
